My first pearl of wisdom: "Not every trend is for every body". This can be applied to skinny jeans. It is not about how big someone's thighs are, it's about the ratio between your hips and your ankles. Now, personally, I love wearing skinny jeans. However, with my chicken legs i'm not convinced they're the most flattery pant on me. So to disguise that fact, I often wear them with boots to add some addition weight to my legs to even out my hips. Cuffing your skinny jeans can act similarly to add weight to the bottom half.
